Nevaya Limited (“Nevaya”) provide technology services such as WiFi and TV entertainment services to hospitality venues across the world. Due to the nature of our services, and for the purpose of hotel/business security, we collect information which enables users to enjoy our services.

At Nevaya we’re committed to ensuring your personal information is handled with discretion, protected and never misused. We like to be open and transparent in the way we operate, and this includes the way we handle data.

 

what is personal information?

Personal information is any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. This includes information such as your name, address, and email address. This may also include unique identifiers related to your smart-device, such as a MAC address.

 

when will we collect your personal information?

Any personal information we hold will be collected when you register for our services, such as hotel WiFi, or screen-casting (via the internet, mobile phone, and tablet or otherwise).

We collect data from guests and visitors (“users”) of Nevaya venues, when they access WiFi, or choose to cast smart-devices on to TV screens.

We also collect information through our website, either relating to how a visitor has navigated our site, or when a visitor volunteers their information, specifically asking us to contact them regarding an enquiry.

Depending on the service which you are using, we may ask you for the following personal information:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number

If you use our services on your mobile phone, laptop or other smart device (such as tablets), we may also collect mobile device identifiers, including MAC address.

As part of our promise to deliver an enhanced guest experience within the hospitality industry, we will only ever use your information in the capacity you have allowed us to do so. This will include:

  • To connect you to the WiFi network, provided by Nevaya
  • To enable you to connect to the Internet and download data
  • To enable your smart-device to cast to a TV screen
  • To automatically reconnect you to these services, for your convenience, during your stay
  • To automatically reconnect you to these services, for your convenience, in the event of revisiting the network in the near future.

Data is stored on a secure server in accordance with local regulations.

Nevaya will not use your data for any marketing communications.

Your information will only be shared with third parties for the purpose of marketing communications if you have specifically chosen to opt-in to this.

 

what personal information do we share?

We will never sell your personal information to any third parties and information will only be shared with the permission you have given us.

We will occasionally need to share your information with third party affiliates, such as the owner of the venue you visited, or selected third-parties we trust and rely on to process our data. This is done for the purpose of:

  • Security (eg. identifying users to prevent malicious or criminal behaviour via our WiFi networks)
  • Operation of service (eg. identifying which smart-devices wish to access WiFi, or cast to TV).
  • Fulfilling an opt-in request (eg. when a user specifically opts-in to be contacted by a hotel)

Your information may also be provided to regulatory bodies where we are under a legal obligation to do so in the interest of protecting the security and safety of others.

 

how long will we keep your personal information?

We only keep your information for as long as we need, for the purpose of delivering our services to you whilst promising an enhanced guest experience.

If you do not login to a Nevaya WiFi venue for more than 3 years, all personally identifiable data we store about you will be deleted.

This is the default period, and is subject to change.

 

how will we protect your personal information?

We treat your data with the utmost care and take all appropriate steps to protect it.

Access to your personal data is password-protected and we use appropriate measures to keep your personal information protected.

We regularly monitor and review our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks.

Like most websites, our website uses cookies. These are small files that are sent to your computer when you log into our website. By using a cookie we can keep track of your log-in status even if you leave the website and return. A cookie only tracks which PC or device is logging into our website – it does not identify who is using the device. (You may refuse to accept cookies by changing the settings on your browser.
